TamaHostel & Glamping

This is the best hostel I went to during my 5 weeks in Costa Rica. Beds are comfortable, there is a huge bathroom where there is shower and toilet in each unit, great kitchen with lots of kitchenware and two electric stoves. In the dormitories there are enough space for all the backpacks and stuff. They have small lockers for valuables. Nice pool with sunbeds and hammocks. And beautiful plants in the garden. Staff and volunteers and super nice and helpful, they really care about the wellbeing of their guests. And also the hostel is very clean. Close to center and supermarket. I am more than happy I chose this one in Tamarindo.

Lovely place just a short walk from all the shops and restaurants in Tamarindo. I stayed in a tent and was a really comfortable and enjoyable stay. Kitchen area is used far more than I thought by many travellers. Toilets and showers are clean *they are cold showers For the price it was great staying in the tent. Areas are clean and well kept. Pool is clean

This place was perfect for my partner and I. We are both young, adventurous travellers and when we stayed here, we felt like we stepped into another home. It was so nice to meet people from all over the world. We were in the tent and it was literally the best sleep we had in Costa Rica. We'll be back!

I loved TamaHostel! I visited several hostels in Central America in the last months, and this was by far my favorite. The beds are comfortable and the dorm rooms have AC, the pool and hammocks amazing, the kitchen and bathrooms are practical and cleaned continuously, and the staff were super friendly and helpful! They can organise surf classes if you want :)

This is a great place to relax. The reception and large kitchen face the lounge and pool area. They have sun beds, plenty of hammocks, and the pool is sunny fir most of the day. They play a nice, eclectic mix of music in the kitchen-reception area. It’s not too repetitive or too loud, you can hold conversations without yelling and it’s turned off by 10pm. I also like that they don’t generally play music at 7am when the kitchen opens so you get to start the day quietly, with only the sounds of nature. The owner’s spouse Caro will bring her young son out for a daily swim, she’s very nice. Bathrooms are spacious, everything is kept clean and there is a night guard on duty between 10pm and 7am. I booked 4 days and extended 4 more. Bed was comfy. For those interested in the Glamping tents, they have just rebuilt them with a protective cover above the tent so when it rains, the rain will hit the cover, nit the tent. They look very nice.
